They are a great way to get to know people better and have a chance to dig deeper into the Bible. Groups meet at various times during the week and have different study topics and styles. Contact our Associate Pastor, Diane Pinnell, to find the best fit for you (diane@nbbc.ca or 905-335-5808).
G.A.B. (Gently Aging Baptists) is our seniors group (55+). This group meets at the church on the 3rd Wednesday of each month at noon for lunch & fellowship. Bring a bag lunch, coffee & dessert are provided. If this is your first time attending, check with the church office to see if there's anything special planned (info@nbbc.ca or 905-335-5808).
Youth in senior high (grades 9-12) meet on Sunday evenings, normally at 7:00 pm for a variety of activities. Chaos is our Junior high group (grades 6-8) that meets regularly for a variety of events and Bible discussion. Both groups have a winter retreat in Muskoka with other youth from around Ontario. Check the calendar for details on upcoming events. More information on Jr. & Sr. High Youth groups is available on the Youth page.
College & Career (post-secondary to 25-ish) folk are invited to come out on Sunday evenings at 7:00 pm. A variety of social and Bible study activities are planned. More information on the College & Career group is available on the Youth page.

Get Baptised
As a Baptist church, you can guess that we believe baptism is an important step in a believer's journey. But there are a lot of different ideas out there as to what the purpose and meaning of baptism are. We hold baptism classes several times a year both for those who are ready to get baptised and those who just want a better understanding of what's involved and what it's all about. If you'd like to know more, speak to one of our pastors, Merv or Diane on Sunday or contact the office at 905-335-5808 or info@nbbc.ca.
Become A Member
If you are interested in becoming a member of North Burlington Baptist Church or just learning more about us, speak to one of our pastors, Merv or Diane on Sunday or contact the office at 905-335-5808 or info@nbbc.ca. We hold membership classes several times a year which cover the background, beliefs and 'flavour' of our church and give you the opportunity to ask questions and meet some of our leaders.
Take a Class
If you're new to Christianity or just want to dig in deeper, we have classes that can help you. Every fall we run The Alpha Course - an excellent course covering the basics of Christianity. We also offer Christianity Explained from time to time.
Whether you're a high school student looking to complete your volunteer hours, or just want to find somewhere to plug in and use your God-given gifts and abilities, we have many ways to get involved at North Burlington Baptist Church.
If you're already a part of our church, contact our Associate Pastor, Diane Pinnell (diane@nbbc.ca or 905-335-5808), to talk about your interests, abilities and availability so we can find a spot that you'll constantly look forward to. You can also take a look at our Ministries page to get an idea of some of our existing programs.
- Junior Church leaders (one Sunday per month)
- Worship Team members - especially electric guitar, bass guitar and drummers (currently two Sundays on, two Sundays off - we're hoping to create a new team to spread out the schedule)
- Wednesday Night Nursery Workers - provide child care for adults involved in Wednesday night programs at the church (currently weekly, but hoping to increase the number of workers to allow for rotation).
If you're one of our neighbourhood friends, contact our Community Events Co-ordinator, Mary Lynne Cameron (info@nbbc.ca or 905-335-5808), to find out more about helping out with:
