Garden Patch

Date: Seasonal
The Garden Patch is open to anyone from the community for growing flowers and/or vegetables. They are on rental basis. Social events are also offered from time to time, compliments of NBBC.

Garden Patch Lease Agreement

2018 Seasonal Rates: $75/patch. Each patch is approximately 10’ x 20’ and includes access to water and topsoil

Practice English Conversation
Free Classes
Beginner to Advanced Level

Our ESL classes practice conversational English, pronunciation and some grammar with an experienced ESL teacher. This relaxed class atmosphere is geared to one-on-one interaction, focusing on the student’s needs. Classes are offered as a community service with no cost to students.

Movie Nights

Date: quarterly
Four times a year we host 100% free family-friendly movie nights on our big screen 30’x14′. Free admission includes popcorn and a drink – what a deal! We also clear out extra space up front for a pajama party – kids can come in their jammies and bring along their favourite blanket, stuffie, pillow, etc.

17th Annual Community Fair

Date: September 8th, 2018
Time: 11am to 3pm
As always, our 100% free fair features live music, animal shows, bouncy castles, great food and so much more. This is a truly community-owned event. Many local businesses and organizations support the fair with donations of goods, services and finances and we have received more and more requests from our neighbours to volunteer at the fair and help make it better every year.
There are no fees for anything at our fair.
Our aim is to create healthy communities together.

Aaron and Erica Kenny serve as African Team leaders, providing continental leadership and support for CBM’s team, partnerships and programs. They are involved in strengthening local churches and reaching to their Muslim neighbours.

Serving in Kenya
Ruth serves with CBM as Senior Food Security Specialist in Africa. She is Kenyan and brings her expertise in community development, program design, monitoring and evaluation as well as integral mission, and deep faith in God’s grace to the role.

Family Ministries


Ages: 6-12
Date: Wednesdays
 Our mid week Kids Club focuses on our community. We invite all walks of life, faith and race to join us as we learn from each other and enjoy a well-led program which involves games, education, a giving project and more.


Nursery Ages: 0-2
Your babies and toddlers will be cared for in our bright and cheerful nursery room on the lower level.
Preschool Ages: 3-SK
Your preschooler will join the class for stories, songs, crafts & play time which all introduce them to their heavenly Father.
Jr. Church Ages: Grades 1-5
Children will remain with their care givers for a brief time in the worship service and then be dismissed to the lower level where the main Bible lesson will be taught. There is a time for small groups in discussion and activities geared to different age groups. 
Alternative Class: Grades 6-up
Twice a month this group meets during the sermon portion of the Sunday gathering. The class seeks to expand their understanding of what it means to be a follower of Jesus and addresses relevant issues.

We offer fun-filled and well-led summer camps for all children.
Our typical camps have been drama and movie themed camps.

Chaos Cafe

Grades: 6-8
Date: Sept – June
We get together for a great time. Events are organized by enthusiastic leaders. Events include: go-karting, laser tag, games, service projects, annual retreat & many more.

Sr. Youth

Grades: 9-12
Date: Sept- June
Events are organized twice a month for our Senior Youth as well as opportunities for winter retreats.

Discipleship Resources


Date: Twice a year
(four consecutive Sundays)

We run a spring and fall training series on a variety of Christian topics that help to teach and motivate us to learn and live God’s truth.

Small Groups

Date: various
Join one of our small groups to facilitate your spiritual growth and relationships. We have a variety of groups that meet. Some have a strong emphasis on an activity, bible study and/or community focus.

Rightnow Media

Our access to Rightnow media allows you the opportunity to learn and grow on your own, in a small group or with family.
If you attend NBBC you can get a username today!

Worship Arts


Date: Sundays 10am
Our Sunday morning gatherings focus is to come together as God’s people to share how we have seen God at work through the week. We do this by sharing stories, singing songs, reading Scripture and encouraging one another.


Date: Sundays & Special Events
Our music teams are always evolving. We aim to creatively express our response to God’s love for us through music. We invite people to participate in our Thursday evening practices at 8pm. We often look for opportunities to play music in our community.


Date: 24/7/365
We truly encourage everyone to bring praise to God through their unique talents and abilities. This is done at your work place, your home and at play.
We have used dance, painting, writing, singing, and other creative means to present God’s truth to one another.

Neighbourhood Care

Bright Corner

Date: One Saturday a month
Through generous donations by church members and the community, Bright Corner is able to offer fresh and non-perishable food to the participants once each month at a Saturday morning ‘Drop-In’. A light brunch is served. Guest speakers offer advice on such topics as finances, health and nutrition, and parenting. The Christian faith component is stressed and the participants are encouraged to present their requests for prayer. A children’s program is also available, giving parents an opportunity to relax and enjoy their time with other adults. Volunteers are busy behind the scenes packing grocery bags to be handed out at the end of the Drop-In.

We have partnered with Foodshare Burlington to assist in providing food sources to local foodbanks and churches in order assist them in their goals of serving those in need of food.
Our hope is to be the hands and feet of Christ to a world in need.


Date: Wednesdays
Through the giftedness of some of our pastoral staff and professional counselors, we offer life counsel from a spiritual view point.
We offer an initial session to couples, families and singles in our community.

If you’re 55+ and free in the afternoons, you’ll want to join us on the third Wednesday of each month for a time of fun and fellowship. Everyone brings a bag lunch and coffee and dessert are provided. Sometimes we just socialize, sometimes there’s a guest speaker.

Young Adult

Date: Wednesday 8pm
If you feel young and act like an adult there are a few more of us who get together often!


Date: Mostly Tuesday evenings
