Good Friday remembers the day Jesus was executed.

At first glance, there’s nothing “good” about it.

We all know what bad days feel like—moments in history when something goes terribly wrong and can’t be undone. Days marked by injustice, violence, and loss don’t get called “good.” They leave wounds that don’t just disappear.

So why has this day, of all days, been given that name?

Located in Burlington, Ontario, we are a people journeying in the way of Jesus. Our congregation spans different ages, backgrounds, and walks of life, but our common goal is to worship Jesus and share his unconditional love in everyday life.

What Story is God Writing in Your Life?

Every Sunday, we open the floor for people to share “God Stories”
- aka, how God is working in their lives or the lives of those around them.
The stories don’t always have a predictable plotline or a perfect ending
(after all, Christians aren’t immune to hardships),
but God’s presence is real and undeniable.

If you’d like to share a God Story but would prefer to do it anonymously, you can submit your story online, from the comfort of your own home.

Something for Everyone

Around here, we’re big on family. That’s why we have programs for all ages — from nursery care for our bouncing babies, to youth groups for our energetic kids, tweens, and teens, to clubs for our social seniors.

Our Wednesday night Midway program is a fan favorite. We kick things off with a FREE warm meal and then break out into children, teen, and adult programs. Midway is open to everyone in the community (not just NBBC members,), so make sure to save your spot!
